The other night ireland played Germany's world cup winning team at the aviva stadium.

it seemed ireland would happily settle for a draw against the apparently unstoppable side, however this wouldnt be the case. in the 70th minute a beautiful kick by the irish goalkeeper set sean long through on goal to put it past Germanys manuel neuer. this set ireland up to beat the world champions 1-0

the long anticipated start to the rugby world cup "kicked off" with england agianst fiji. the match looked like an easy win for england as they were 15 points uo in the first 30 minutes, however the fijians are not known for giving up easily and they put in a smashing effort to try and recover the game. unfortuanately it wasnt enough and they crumbled handing england the 3 points.
